@postsurrealfish Hi. I agree with your question to him. But, actually he means it turns the particle into matter not wave because normally the electron is behaving like wave when it has nothing observing it.But anyway the question remains valid.

@Vaynous For us mere mortals, please explain simply how the momentum of a photon turns a particle into a wave. Just saying it ‘affects it’ doesn’t really say anything at all.This sounds like typical debunking with no facts, just fear of another reality that your brain can’t handle.

@Ranrun1 gravity is model, theory to help us understand things. Like 2+2 is not 4, it is equal to 2+2. 4 is what we use for facilitation.

@Vaynous obviously you are not familier with the Quantum eraser experiment, where the same measurment is taken to see whicj slit the particle passes through, ( which would affect, or observe the electron ) But the result of the measurment is erased so we cannot observe the result ; then you get the interferance pattern again ! weird I agree, but amazing.
